Laura's So-Called Life

No problem is so formidable that you can't walk away from it.

Hey, I just found what I think is going to be one of my favourite sites on the internet. If you've ever wanted to read a classic novel, but don't have the time for libraries or the money for bookstores, check this out - the Literature Page. It has 200 classic novels (interpreted into English if they were written in a foreign language) and they're adding more. Everything from "War and Peace" to "Pride and Prejudice". So, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go back to reading "The Idiot" now, and then get ready for bed. I'll let you know what I think of the novel as I read :)

Wow ... everything looks so different now! When did blogger change it's interface? (Okay, so I haven't written anything here for a long time ... I'm not even sure that people will bother to check this since my last posting was ... oh ... February) Ack! February! What the hell have I been doing?
Well, if you know me, then you know I was busy hating work for the remainder of February, March and April. Then in May I went back to school. Where I proceded to pass my courses (some only just passing, but that's really all that matters ...) While doing school (I have an excuse for my poor performance, I swear!) I was doing the usual EngSoc VP Ed stuff, plus organizing frosh week, Habitat for Humanity build volunteers, the EngSoc Used Book Service (or what remains of it now that the Feds had their way with it), and working part time. Yeah, I'm as surprised as anyone else that I actually managed to keep a mid-60 average - everything from a 50 to a 95 will do that, I guess ;)
Anyway, so after that was all said and done, there was frosh week, which was absolutely fantastic! Okay, there were a few glitches along the way, but nothing that a little sweet talking couldn't smooth over. And now I'm back at work again, working for the Co-op department here on campus. Except right now I'm waiting for software to be installed, hence the wasting of time with a blog. Whatever - I'm considering this to be my 15 minutes of paid break in the morning.
As for my personal life, there are a couple of developments, but you'll just have to ask if you want any more of the details. A girl has to maintain some sembalnce of mystery!
